Help on
Bidding You may want to Browse and look at everything or you may want to Quick Search something you want to buy Now that you've found an item and are interested in purchasing it. You should make note of a few things. First notice the Minimum Bid Amounts (Reserve) and Maximum Bid Amounts. Minimums are provided when the Seller will not take any less then that amount for his equipment. Maximums are provided for one of two reasons. 1) Bidders who can’t wait till the Bid Closing to acquire the equipment. When a bid is meets the Sellers Maximum Bid, that item is sold to the person who made the bid, immediately. 2) Sellers are more interested in selling their equipment quickly without being forced to wait for a Bid Close Date. In this case, Sellers place the Maximum Bid Amount $1.00 above their Minimum Bid Amount. Sometimes bidders are not the successful bidder. In these cases, these bidders may still be shopping for like equipment. When you place a bid, you may opt to be contacted when like equipment becomes available. Bidders may not find the equipment they need today. Bidders may choose to be contacted when equipment they Wanted of a certain category comes up for auction. You may place one of two types of Bids. A Single Bid is a bid just over the current bid. Your single bid may win only for a second or for a few days or until Bid Close. The reason your bid may only win for a second is the person you momentarily out bid placed a Proxy Bid (Automatic Bid Amount) at the time he initially placed his bid. Think about this. Bidders usually have a maximum amount they’ll bid in mind other than an amount just higher than the current. This persons Automatic Bid was higher then the Single Bid you made. Make a Single Bid and include an Automatic Bid Amount for AsphaltAuction to increase your bid by that amount by $10. until you limit is met. This makes life very simple for you. Put again in other words…Someone with a higher Automatic Bid than your Single Bid won over you as soon as you placed your bid. Automatic Bid is bidding by Proxy. The Bidder places the highest bid (Automatic Bid Maximum) he would consider for a piece of equipment. The piece may be bidding at half the amount the bidder placed as a Automatic Bid Maximum. The Automatic Bid would bid $10 higher than the current bid. When someone outbids the Automatic Bidder, the Automatic Bidder bids $10. higher. This keeps going until others quit bidding, or until the Automatic Bidder reaches the Automatic Bid Maximum and is out bid or Bid Close Time arrived and he wins. Bidding/Selling procedure: It is strongly recommended that all items placed on the site be available for sale while being listed. For whatever reasons; they may not be available when you want to place a bid. Bidders: It is prudent to request of the Seller a written equipment condition, shipping assistance and availability agreement before placing a bid. After this thorough understanding, Bidder places Bid on-line at AsphaltAuction.com. When an agreement is made with a Bidder, Seller agrees to give exclusive buying rights to the consequential, successful AsphaltAuction.com Bidder. When a Bidder and Seller acquires a signed and dated, written agreement; AsphaltAuction.com shall reasonably assist in processing the agreement to include legal action.
